Bakuteh 'Kau' - Rich Bakuteh with ginseng.
A famous Malaysian cuisine of meat cooked with a concoction of herbs & spices - BAKUTEH, has made its name known to many abroad. 

Ingredients:
Angelica Sinensis, Polygonatum Odoratum, Cinnamon (Kayu Manis), Lycii Fructus, Glycyrrhiza Uralensis, White Pepper (Lada Putih), Codonopsis Pilosulae, Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Flavor Enhancers (E635), Sugar, Salt, Lingustici Wallichii, Star Anise, Radix Panax Ginseng and Yeast Extract.

Serve 4-6 persons.

Description
 
Preparation:
  • 1 packet 'Bakuteh Kau' herbs & spices mix (2 filter bags).
  • 1 kg ribs or meat (chicken, mutton or other), cut to preferred size.
  • 1500 ml (6 rice bowls) water.
  • 3 whole garlic.
  • 1.5 tsp dark soy sauce.
  • 0.5 tsp soy sauce.
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce.
Cooking Method:
1.  In a large pot, boil the 2 filter bags (do not open the bags) in 1500ml of water for 30 minutes.
2.  Add the meat, garlic, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce and oyster sauce to the boiling soup.
3.  Simmer for 1 hour.
